“El Villano quele dan Zebollita” is a mini-documentary shot on Hi8 tape that portrays, with irony and a little bit of surrealism, the behind-the-scenes of the Artist Residency 2025 in San Millán de la Cogolla (Spain).
The film follows a group of artists arriving at the monastery, moving through comic situations and encounters with unique characters, saints, and places suspended between different eras. The residency was an inspiring and amusing experience that allowed me to explore the place, uncover its details, inhabitants, animals, and the entities that populate its imagination. All while documenting the creative process behind the work of my fellow resident artists.

Behind-the-scenes video of a one-month artist residency on Pico Island, Azores (Portugal). The video follows the duo CIANG as they explore the island’s volcanic cliffs, caves, and grazing cows. The mini-documentary showcases the making of the animated short film “NU’VEM: A Month on Pico Island”, capturing their life in a windmill overlooking the ocean and their travels around the island in a small, noisy off-road vehicle.
